Meet Model & Entrepreneur Katerina Kautska

We recently had a chat with Katerina Kautska about her incredible journey from being a professional dancer in the Czech Republic to becoming a renowned model and entrepreneur in New York City. Katerina’s story is not just about her transition to modeling but also about how she has used her experiences to help others through her agency, Katwalk Talent.

Katerina’s passion for dance started early in her life in the Czech Republic, where she explored various dance forms. This world of dance sparked her interest in combining movement with fashion, which eventually led her to the bustling fashion scene of New York City. The energy and opportunities in New York motivated her to make a bold move into modeling, using her dance background to stand out.

Her success in dance, marked by national competition wins in aerobic, disco, and show dance, greatly influenced her modeling career. Dance taught her the importance of movement, grace, and storytelling, which she now brings into her modeling work. These skills have made her unique in the fashion industry, allowing her to express emotions and stories through her poses and movements.

Winning the title of Miss Aerobic Media 2017 and participating in Miss competitions played a significant role in Katerina’s modeling career. These platforms provided her with visibility, enhanced her stage presence, and opened up many doors in the modeling world.

Transitioning from dance to modeling in her teens was challenging for Katerina. She had to learn to adjust to the stillness required in modeling and understand the intricacies of the fashion industry. Her perseverance and willingness to learn helped her overcome these challenges, blending her dance-inspired grace into her modeling style.

Katerina’s educational background in business and law from Prague has been instrumental in her career as a model and entrepreneur. Inspired by her father’s entrepreneurial spirit, she founded Katwalk Talent. Her agency aims to guide and support aspiring models, leveraging her extensive experience and connections in the industry.

Katerina is signed with various agencies and has been part of commercials, New York Fashion Week, and Miami Swim Week. A standout memory for her is being an extra on the TV show “Westworld,” working alongside Evan Rachel Wood. Walking the runway for celebrities and designers during major fashion events has been another highlight of her career.

The establishment of Katwalk Talent was motivated by Katerina’s desire to make a difference in the modeling industry, focusing on diversity and representing models in both New York and Miami. She enjoys the variety in her career, from modeling and managing her agency to being a digital creator and influencer. The upcoming New York Fashion Week is an exciting time for her to showcase her modeling skills while scouting new talent for her agency.

Katerina is also dedicated to charitable work, recently participating in an event with FDNY’s Humble Heroes to support children in need. Despite her busy schedule, she finds ways to give back to the community, believing in the power of collective efforts to make a positive impact.
